Frankie Andreu: An Armstrong confession would be a huge step
Frankie Andreu says a doping confession from his former team mate Lance Armstrong would be of massive significance.

Armstrong has been stripped of his seven Tour de France titles after he was accused by the US Anti-Doping Agency of being at the centre of an extensive doping programme during his career.
And the 41-year-old Texan has now given an interview to Oprah Winfrey, to be aired on Thursday, in which he is believed to have admitted to doping.
Andreu told Sky Sports: "It's a huge step, for him to come out and admit using performance enhancing drugs.
"We haven't had anything like that kind of admission - he's been lying for years. He's lied to presidents, he's lied to Larry King and he's lied to Oprah before.
"He's lied about how many drug tests he had - he said 500 tests, he's only had about 250 - and he lied about seeing Dr Ferrari, a well-known doping doctor.
"He's lied about everything so for him to come out now and admit to doping is a big step.
"What does it mean? I don't know. Where does it lead? I don't know. But it's a start."
Andreu suggested that part of the reason Armstrong's doping avoided detection was because of his power within the sport.
"He owned the cycling industry," said Andreu. "Whatever he said, happened.
"He had a ton of money and money can buy a lot of things that other people can't get.
"He knew who did what, because he was the ringleader."
