Cork's Lorcan McLoughlin has announced his retirement from intercounty hurling.
The Kanturk club-man has been a member of the senior panel since 2010, helping the side to Munster titles in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
While the team were unable to land the Liam MacCarthy during his time in the 'Blood and Bandages', they did come close, losing the decider to Clare in 2013, while also falling at the semi-final stage in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2018.
He was also a member of the 2009 U21 All-Ireland football winning side, keeping up his football career as he was part of the Duhallow side that reached the county final last month.
He is set to continue with his club, Kanturk with whom he won the All-Ireland intermediate championship this season.
Despite the loss of McLoughlin, the Rebels will be looking to push on in 2019 as they search for their first All-Ireland since 2005.
