WWE Main Event: Dolph Ziggler beats Damien Miz-dow ahead of meeting with The Miz

Dolph Ziggler knocked off a faux Miz on WWE Main Event – but can he defeat the real one at Night of Champions?

Ziggler proved too slick for Damien Miz-dow on Tuesday evening, gate-crashing the premiere showing of Miz-dow TV and beating The Awesome One’s stunt double with the Zig Zag.

NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

1am, Sun, Sep 21 (Mon)
Live on Sky Sports 3

However, the Intercontinental Champion could face a tougher challenge when he defends his strap against the actual Miz, live on Sky Sports 3, in Nashville, Tennessee on September 21.

Ziggler won the belt from his fellow Clevelander at SummerSlam to begin a second stint with the Intercontinental Title, having first claimed it from Kofi Kingston in 2010.

But The Miz – a three time Intercontinental Champion, two-time United States Champion and one-time WWE Champion – pinned The Show-Off on Raw recently to earn another go at gold.

Elsewhere on Main Event, Summer Rae and Layla, aka The Slayers, beat Natalya and Rosa Mendes, with Layla’s kick to Mendes putting the Costa Rican out for the count.

Plus, Gold and Stardust thrust themselves further into the reckoning for a shot at The Usos’ WWE Tag Team Titles by knocking off Los Matadores grapplers Diego and Fernando.

Watch WWE Night of Champions from 1am, Sunday (Mon), September 21 on Sky Sports 3.
