Anastasia up for the fight

Anastasia Dobromyslova has enlisted the help of boxing sensation Amir Khan to assist her preparations for the UK Open.

Darts glamour girl Anastasia Dobromyslova has enlisted the help of boxing sensation Amir Khan to assist her preparations for the UK Open.

The Russian starlet has been tuning up for this week's event with a training session at Khan's gym in Bolton.

Dobromyslova has also just signed a lucrative three-year contract with Unicorn - the world's leading darts manufacturers - ahead of the tournament which starts on Thursday at the Reebok Stadium.

The 24-year-old former women's world champion has already made quite a splash since switching to the Professional Darts Corporation six months ago, beating several men in tournaments around the UK.

"You don't have to have a hairy chest to play darts at this level!" she joked. "It's all about being competitive and improving. Signing with Unicorn will certainly help me to take my game to the next level."

Anastasia plays Andy Roberts from Stoke on Thursday in the first round of the £200,000 UK Open and she knows victory would set up a clash with former world champion Steve Beaton in front of the Sky Sports cameras in Bolton.

"I have already beaten Steve, so it would be a great opportunity for me but first I have to win that opening match and I have been practicing hard," she said.

Anastasia has just won the Russian Darts Championship for a seventh time.
