The game was stopped for 35 and then 22 minutes because of a leak in the Verizon Center's roof but after that distraction James Harden led the Rockets' revival with a 25-point personal haul.

It was a fourth straight home loss for the Wizards.

Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony led the New York Knicks to a 102-92 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Stoudemire scored 21 with Anthony netting 18 and adding nine rebounds and seven assists. James Anderson and Spencer Hawes led the Sixers' challenge with 17 points each but Philadelphia would lose a fourth straight game.

Josh Smith left it late to secure a 110-108 win for the Detroit Pistons over the Phoenix Suns with a driving bank shot in Auburn Hills while the Chicago Bulls edged the Charlotte Bobcats 103-97.

Raptors snap Nets streak

At the Air Canada Centre, DeMar DeRozan scored 26 points to help the in-form Toronto Raptors beat the Brooklyn Nets 96-80 and snap the New Yorkers' five-game winning streak.

The Oklahoma City Thunder snapped a two-game skid by defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 101-85,

Kevin Durant scoring 33 points while Serge Ibaka added 17 and 17 rebounds.

The Denver Nuggets clinched a fifth straight win - having previously lost eight in a row - when beating the Orlando Magic 120-94 and Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 40 points as the Dallas Mavericks edged the New Orleans Pelicans 110-107 at the American Airlines Center.

In the night's remaining game, the Portland Trail Blazers held the Boston Celtics at arm's length to ride out a 112-104 victory.
