Gold and Stardust beat The Usos inside of a steel cage on Friday Night Smackdown to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Stardust pinned Jey Uso as he and his gilded sibling kept hold of the belts they won from the Samoan-American twins at Night of Champions – but their defence was far from routine.

WWE: Late Night - Smackdown

The Usos, the sons of former WWE Superstar Rikishi, dominated much of the match-up and looked on course for victory when Jey splashed Goldust after Jimmy had superplexed The Bizarre One.

But Stardust reacted quickly, shoving Jey off his brother and rolling-up Uso for the win.

Another steel cage encounter also took place on the blue brand when Kane decided that his dust-up with Dolph Ziggler would be contested within metal confines.

The Devil’s Favourite Demon – who will face Ziggler again at Survivor Series when he represents Team Authority and The Show-Off stars on Team Cena – was left ruing that decision, though, when the blond grappler triumphed by escaping the cage.

Kane was involved in an earlier portion of Smackdown, too, addressing The Authority’s brutal attack on Randy Orton during Monday’s edition of Raw.

The Big Red Monster had barely finished talking when Cesaro emerged from the locker room and stated that he was willing and able to fight for Team Authority at Survivor Series.

Kane did not hand The Swiss Superman an automatic spot in the five-on-five fracas, but said that he would qualify if he could conquer Ryback, a man who has been on a roll since his return from injury.

Cesaro battled valiantly but eventually fell to Shell Shocked and saw his Survivor Series hopes evaporate – and it seems like Ryback won’t be a cog in Team Authority either.

The Big Guy was approached by Kane after his win but the Sin City powerhouse failed to acknowledge The Devil’s Favourite Demon and instead just marched backstage.

Elsewhere, Dean Ambrose’ appearance on Christian’s Peep Show led to him being outwitted by Bray Wyatt, the man who cost him victory against Seth Rollins at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt clashed verbally and physically on WWE Smackdown after the former’s appearance on Christian’s Peep Show.

Ambrose told Christian that he was not scared of Wyatt and that he could not wait to get his hands on the sermon-spewing Superstar – and those words soon brought out The Eater of Worlds.

Wyatt proceeded to reveal that Ambrose’s father was in prison and the bearded wrestler continued to irk The Lunatic Fringe by disappearing, appearing and disappearing again before the two could get physical.

Adam Rose, meanwhile, shoved his loyal Bunny to the ground after he was bested by R-Truth, plus Natalya, a graduate of the infamous Hart Dungeon, was defeated by her fellow Total Diva Summer Rae.
