Miz & Morrison regain title

The Miz & John Morrison successfully defended their Tag Team title after seeing off Kane & CM Punk at Judgment Day.

Last Updated: 19/05/08 1:13pm

WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison successfully defended their precious title at Judgment Day after seeing off ECW Champion Kane & Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk.

In truth it was the challengers who dominated the majority of the contest, however the decisive moment came after a huge chokeslam from the Big Red Machine.

With Miz in dream street outside the squared circle, the Straightedge Superstar was distracted long enough for Morrison to pounce and deliver a shattering Moonlight Drive to set up the pinfall.

The pair turned the tables clinically to continue their dominance on the Tag Team arena after their previous destruction of Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely.

Despite their Judgment Day loss, the Big Red Machine and the Straightedge Superstar still have plenty of reasons to remain optimistic.

No one has come close to taking Kane's ECW Championship away from him since he won it at WrestleMania XXIV while CM Punk still has the briefcase he earned at The Granddaddy of Them All in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at his disposure.

As Miz & Morrison continue to dominate it may now be time for a new Tag Team duo to signal their intent by challenging the reigning champs.
