RAW-Rated RKO

Randy Orton struck not once, but twice, during The Rated-R Superstar's resurrection of "The Cutting Edge" on Monday Night RAW.

Randy Orton struck not once but twice during The Rated-R Superstar's resurrection of "The Cutting Edge" on Monday Night RAW.

In retaliation for a Spear one week earlier, The Viper extracted his revenge with a devastating RKO to both RAW guest host Wayne Brady and Edge.

Edge's first order of business upon opening his talk show, "The Cutting Edge," was to explain why he Speared Randy Orton last week during the Number One Contender's Triple Threat Match.

He claimed he wanted to make RAW his show, just like he had previously done with SmackDown. The Rated-R Superstar then introduced RAW's special guest host Wayne Brady, who discussed his American television game show Let's Make a Deal.

During which, Randy Orton interrupted. The Viper slithered into the ring and struck Brady with an RKO. He then listened as The Ultimate Opportunist tried to talk him into reforming their partnership, Team Rated-RKO.

Stipulation

Orton did not appear interested in Edge's latest idea, keeping quiet throughout, which provoked Edge in becoming irate.

Tensions quickly soared and Orton tried to capitalise with an RKO but Edge fought him off and set Orton up for a Spear, but The Viper quickly struck, leaving his former tag team partner on the canvas in the wake of a vengeful RKO.

Earlier in the night, Batista had arranged for two Beat the Clock Challenge bouts, one for Cena and one for himself.

Whoever won their match in the fastest time would decide the stipulation for their WWE Championship Match at the upcoming Over the Limit pay-per-view event.

As to be expected, Sheamus took exception to Batista's challenge and let him know in no uncertain terms that he would not relent in his pursuit of the WWE Title.

Due to The Miz being unable to compete, NXT Rookie, Daniel Bryan, took his place. Whilst The Animal may have relished the thought, Bryan put up an impressive fight, lasting 5:06 before being pinned.

WWE Champion John Cena would have to face Chris Jericho, however, the self-obsessed Superstar claimed the match would be a waste of his time and recruited his NXT Rookie Wade Barrett to tackle the challenge of The Champ.

Whilst Englishman Barrett proved a worthy competitor, Cena managed to defeat him just seconds shy of Batista's posted time, allowing The Champ the opportunity to name the upcoming championship match stipulation.

But before he could, Sheamus thundered into the ring and struck, to leave Cena flat on the canvas.

Also this week on RAW, Supplemental draftees David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd defeated the team of William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov.

After which, new acquaintances Jericho and The Miz entered the ring to make a statement, that resulted in Hart Smith being on the receiving end of a devastating Code Breaker.

The Guru of Greatness John Morrison picked up an impressive victory over Ted DiBiase whilst The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry defeated Zack Ryder with ease, courtesy of The World's Strongest Slam.

Finally in Divas action, Canadian Maryse faced off against Nikki Bella and defeated the brunette beauty as twin sister Brie looked on.
