Henry takes revenge

Mark Henry gained a measure of revenge over the Uso Brothers, defeating them in a two on one handicap match on WWE Superstars this week.

Henry, who has recently taken time out of wrestling due to family problems, failed to overcome the cocky young duo in an identical match on Superstars three weeks ago.

In the rematch however things panned out a lot differently for the "World's Strongest Man", as he dominated the brothers from the off, and even quick tagging could not halt the 400lb monster's momentum.

After averting a sneak attack by Jey Uso, Henry stacked both the newcomers on top of each other in the middle of the ring, and proceeded with his huge standing splash on both.

This left Jimmy Uso prone to the World's Strongest Slam and Henry picked up the three count.

RAW's other match on the night was the defeated #1 contenders to the tag team titles, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov taking on the heel duo of Zack Ryder and Primo.

Neither Ryder nor Primo wanted anything to do with the Russian Kozlov early on and insisted Marella be tagged into the action, obviously assuming him to be easy prey.

However this backfired after Kozlov returned to the action and after a near fall attempt after a Powerslam, he took Ryder out the action leaving Primo and Santino in the ring together.

Marella then loaded up the Cobra to the delight of the WWE Universe and nailed Primo to pick up another win for the pair.

From the SmackDown brand it was the turn of Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta to try and prove their worth among the rapidly improving young talent around them.

Hawkins eventually emerged victorious after Barreta attempted a springboard DDT but this was countered into a Shoulder Facebuster from Hawkins for the fall.

The difficulty for these two, with so much young up and coming competitors on the SmackDown brand, the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Kaval, Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, and Kofi Kingston, is that Barreta and Hawkins are being left behind in the shuffle.

With both having seen their former tag team partners depart in recent weeks, Bareta's Dudebusters partner Caylen Croft and former friend of Hawkins, Vance Archer, it will be a tough ask for them to avoid the dreaded "future endeavours" list over the next few months.

WWE SmackDown comes your way this week with a number of qualifying matches for Monday Night's RAW King of the Ring Special. Catch it at 10pm on SKY SPORTS HD/4.
