Chris Masters pulled off his biggest victory in recent memory on WWE Superstars, overcoming the 'Chosen One' Drew McIntyre.

Masters may eventually be turning heads after a long run of success on the Thursday night show, including wins over Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks among others.

Both superstars were recently traded to Raw and, while most were assuming that McIntyre would be the one to make an instant impression, it seems the Scottish brawler is waiting for the company to find a feud for him.

Masters in the meantime must be close to a more established position on Monday nights after paying his dues on Superstars.

The Masterpiece took the initiative with a huge Atomic Drop early on before McIntyre begun to wear down his opponent with multiple shots to the left knee.

Devastating

He teased a Figure Four Leglock but received a Big Boot by way of response from Masters before he had to escape from the clutches of McIntyre's devastating Future Shock DDT.

The pair traded backslide attempts before McIntyre found himself being ran shoulder first into the turnbuckle, which left him prone to the devastating MasterLock to pick up the submission victory.

The WWE have also revisited history by pairing back together two former WWE Champions in Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins.

Halfway through Ryder's match with Vladimir Kozlov, Hawkins ran down to the ring to grab Kozlov's foot and distract him, leading to Ryder nailing the Rough Ryder and picking up the victory.

Ryder then announced the "Broski's are back", referring back to 2008 when the duo were packaged as the "Edgeheads" and often interfered in matches on behalf of Edge, and held the tag titles for three months.

There was also a surprise in the first match at the reprisal of the manager role, as Michael P.S Hayes, lead writer for SmackDown who had a run as the manager of the Hardy Boyz during their rise to prominence in the late 90s, accompanied Tyson Kidd to the ring.
