Kingston: beat Axel on Friday Night Smackdown

The Game invited any WWE Superstars disgruntled by the way he is running the company to vent their spleens as part of an open forum and after a few grapplers did just that, he placed them in bouts.

Triple H announced that Dolph Ziggler would face Ryback, Kofi Kingston would meet Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel, and RVD would battle Randy Orton - and all three contests caught the eye.

Van Dam lost to WWE Titlist Orton following a distraction from his Night of Champions opponent Alberto Del Rio and Ziggler slipped up against Ryback after interference by Dean Ambrose, but Kingston emerged victorious, pulling off an upset win over the Paul Heyman-managed Axel.

Triple H also sanctioned two more fights - Big Show versus Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal, and Daniel Bryan against a Shield member of his choosing - and, once again, there was drama.

The World's Largest Athlete destroyed each component of 3MB, while Bryan, after telling The Shield to select his adversary, knocked off Seth Rollins - before being clocked by Orton as he celebrated.

Elsewhere, The Real Americans defeated The Usos and the Divas duel between Naomi and Brie Bella was rendered a no-contest when AJ Lee, Layla, Aksana and Alicia Fox interrupted proceedings.
