WWE Smackdown: Big E Langston aids CM Punk; Brie Bella beats AJ Lee

CM Punk received assistance from a surprise source on Smackdown, while Big Show ran riot again.

The Second City Saint defeated Big E Langston in a tough-looking singles match on the blue brand, wriggling free of his heftier opponent's Big Ending to level the powerhouse with a Go To Sleep.

However, when Ryback and Curtis Axel emerged afterwards to attack Punk, Langston - the former bodyguard of Dolph Ziggler - joined forces with the Chicagoan and sent Heyman's guys into retreat.

Vickie Guerrero, meanwhile, usually runs Smackdown alone but after Big Show's antics on Raw, which allowed Cody Rhodes and Goldust to capture the Tag Team Titles, Brad Maddox was charged with maintaining order in Kansas City, Missouri.

It didn't work.

Pinned

The unemployed Big Show strode to the ring with a ticket signed by the WWE Championship-chasing Daniel Bryan and proceeded to knock out Maddox after the Raw General Manager told him to vacate the premises.

Bryan's night was not restricted to gaining his friend access to the arena, though, as the submission specialist also pinned Dean Ambrose to earn himself, Rhodes and Goldust a six-man tag team victory over The Shield.

Bryan's fiancée, Brie Bella, was also victorious, knocking off Divas Champion AJ Lee in a non-title encounter, while Luke Harper and Erick Rowan proved too strong for The Miz and Kofi Kingston.

Plus, Alberto Del Rio called his Hell in a Cell rival John Cena weak, before punishing announcer Josh Matthews with his patented Cross Armbreaker, and The Usos bested The Real Americans after the latter's manager, Zeb Colter, was distracted by Los Matadores.
