Sting: Triple H says 'never say never' when asked whether Icon will appear in WWE

WCW legend a pre-order bonus character for video game WWE 2K15

Will Sting wrestle in WWE one day?
Will Sting wrestle in WWE one day?

Triple H has refused to rule out the chances of Sting competing in a WWE ring.

The WCW legend is one of the most famous wrestlers never to sign for Vince McMahon’s company but will be the pre-order bonus character in video game WWE 2K15 when it is released this autumn.

However, during his weekly WWE.com sit-down interview with Michael Cole, Triple H implied that Sting, who began his career in the 1980s, could lace up his boots in WWE in real life.

HAVE YOU SAY!

If Sting did wrestle in WWE, who would you want him to face? Let us know via the feedback form at the bottom of the page...

The Game referred to the returns of Bruno Sammartino and The Ultimate Warrior, both of whom settled their issues with WWE before being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and suggested Sting could be the next stellar name to make a shock appearance.

“Over the years I’d heard that Bruno Sammartino would never be part of WWE again, and that The Ultimate Warrior would never be part of WWE again,” said Triple H.

“I’d also heard that Sting would never be part of WWE [but now he’s in WWE 2K15] so if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s ‘never say never.’”

For now, though, fans will have to make do with controlling Sting – who won a glut of titles in WCW, including the World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship and Tag Team Championship – on their games consoles.

And Triple H says wrestling zealots will be able to pit The Icon against a host of WWE luminaries, including Triple H himself and man Brock Lesnar defeated at WrestleMania XXX, The Undertaker.

“Sting, one of the biggest legends in the history of the industry, is finally in a WWE video game,” added The Cerebral Assassin. “So you will get to see what you’ve wanted to see for 20 years.

“That is Sting against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Sting against The Rock, Sting against The Undertaker, Sting against Triple H and Sting against every legend that has been in this business.”
