WWE Main Event results: The Miz records win after Damien Mizdow does donkey work

Dean Ambrose defeats Kane; Natalya victorious in Divas tussle

The Miz stole Damien Mizdow’s thunder on Main Event as the new WWE Tag Team Champions defeated Los Matadores.

The Awesome One refused to tag his stunt double Mizdow into the match and then claimed the pinfall after Mizdow had set up the win by administering The Skull-Crushing Finale on Diego.

The Miz was in good spirits pre-match, revelling in pinching the twin titles once more, having previously collected them with John Morrison, Big Show and John Cena.

But the WWE audience were far more interested in Mizdow, cheering constantly for the bearded wrestler while he stood on the ring apron and mimicked The Miz.

Mizdow – who won the WWE Tag Team Championships for himself and The Miz at Survivor Series by pinning Goldust – eventually tagged into the match, but was unable to cement another victory before his partner re-entered the fray.

Elsewhere, Dean Ambrose countered a Choke Slam before conquering Kane, while Natalya forced Layla to tap out to the Sharpshooter, moments after she had been hit in the face with a pie by the Brit and her pal, Summer Rae.

Plus, in a battle between two of WWE’s most twinkle-toed Superstars, the new and improved Fandango proved too slick for Adam Rose, knocking Rose’s Bunny to the floor and then beating his rival following a top-rope leg drop.
