The three Sky Sports Scholars heading for the Gold Coast cannot wait to get stuck into the competitive arena at the Commonwealth Games.

Scottish wheelchair racer Samantha Kinghorn and England duo Andrew Pozzi (hurdles) and swimmer Freya Anderson are in Australia for the Games taking place between April 4-15.

The 22-year-old Kinghorn is hunting more silverware in the 1500m and marathon, having moved up in distance from her sprinting events.

Kinghorn, who impressed on her marathon debut in Chicago in October, was double World champion in London in the 100m and 200m and she also won bronze in the 400m.

"I cannot wait to compete in my second under the Scotland flag!"

Pozzi is another athlete looking to add to his medal collection after recently being crowned World indoor 60m hurdles champion in Birmingham.

The 25-year-old from Stratford-upon-Avon said: 'I'm really looking forward to my first Commonwealths.
