With Goldberg returning to WWE Raw next week, we look back at five of his most high-profile matches.

Goldberg will appear on WWE Raw next Monday for the first time in 12 years - and tell Paul Heyman whether he is willing to fight Brock Lesnar.

The powerhouse's last WWE match came against Lesnar at WrestleMania XX in 2004 - Goldberg winning on that occasion after administering a spear and a jackhammer powerslam.

Paul Heyman has dared Goldberg to step into a WWE riing for the first time since 2004 and face his client, Brock Lesnar, in a WrestleMania XX rematch.

Live WWE: Late Night - Raw

The debut - beat Hugh Morrus, September 22, 1997 on WCW Nitro

Goldberg's first match was over in less than three minutes as he ran through Morrus, a man perhaps more familiar to WWE fans as Bill DeMott. Goldberg triumphed with a series of slams and continued his dominance over Morrus during the next few years - winning all four of their televised tussles, including on WCW Thunder in 1998 to retain the United States Title.

The first title - beat Raven, April 20, 1998 on WCW Nitro

Having defeated a slew of superstars, including Perry Saturn, Goldberg propelled himself into United States Title contention. The powerhouse won the championship at the first attempt, knocking off Raven despite interference from his opponent's Flock stable. Goldberg received an assist from the fans, though, who prevented Raven from walking out on the bout!

Beating the Beast - beat Brock Lesnar, March 14, 2004 at WrestleMania

Goldberg has a 100 per cent record at WrestleMania - albeit that he only wrestled there once! His rivalry with Lesnar stemmed from the Beast Incarnate causing him to be eliminated from the 2004 Royal Rumble, with the two subsequently going head-to-head in New York. Goldberg prevailed - before being hit by a Stunner by special referee "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Streak over - lost to Kevin Nash, December 27, 1998 at WCW Starrcade

According to WCW, Goldberg had won 173 matches straight before he put the organisation's world title on the line against Nash - and it took interference from Scott Hall for that streak to be shattered. Goldberg dealt with meddling by Bam Bam Bigelow and Disco Inferno but when he was all set to spear Nash, Hall shocked him with a stun gun.

King of the world - beat Hollywood Hogan, July 6, 1998 on WCW Nitro

Goldberg's winning streak had led to then WCW Champion Hollywood Hogan awarding him a shot at the belt - at first. Hogan latterly decided to make him earn it, with Goldberg beating Hall to secure his title tilt and then prising the championship from Hogan later in the night. The only downside was that he was then forced to vacate the United States Title.

Will Goldberg accept Heyman's challenge to fight Lesnar? Find out next Monday night on WWE Raw, live on Sky Sports 5 at 1am.
