WWE Roadblock: Rich Swann to defend Cruiserweight Title

Rich Swann will put the Cruiserweight Title on the line against The Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins at WWE Roadblock on Sunday night.

Swann, 25, downed Kendrick to win the championship on the debut edition of WWE 205 Live on November 29 before beating the veteran again a week later to retain the prize.

But the Baltimore native must now see off Kendrick and the inaugural champion Perkins at the latest Raw pay-per-view to extend his reign.

Kendrick bested Perkins, the man he beat for the title at Hell in a Cell in late October, with Sliced Bread #2 on Monday night's edition of Raw.

However, Perkins, who became Cruiserweight Champion after triumphing in this summer's Cruiserweight Classic, regrouped on WWE 205 Live on Tuesday, submitting Swann in a non-title match.

Perkins also downed Swann in the quarter-finals of the Classic earlier this year, a competition he would win after conquering Gran Metalik in the final on September 14.

Two further matches were added to the Roadblock card on Raw - Sami Zayn placed in a 10-minute match against Braun Strowman and Big Cass granted a one-on-one bout against Rusev.

Zayn's constant pleas for a clash with the powerhouse Strowman have been accepted by Mick Foley after the Raw General Manager became impressed by the Canadian's passion.

Foley has also sanctioned a battle between Cass and Rusev on Roadblock Kickoff following Rusev's vicious attack on Cass' tag-team partner Enzo Amore at a hotel last week.

Also at Roadblock, Kevin Owens will defend the Universal Title against United States Champion Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho will face off against Seth Rollins.

Plus, Sasha Banks will put the Raw Women's Championship on the line against bitter rival Charlotte in WWE's second women's 30-Minute Iron Man Match.

WWE Roadblock: End of the Line booking details

WWE Roadblock: End of the Line will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office (channel 491) and Sky Sports HD Box Office (channel 492) from 1am on Sunday, December 18 (Monday morning).

The pay-per-view will cost £14.95 for viewers in the United Kingdom and €21.95 for customers in the Republic of Ireland.
