WWE Raw: The New Day will become longest reigning tag champions
Team Jeri-Ko falls apart as Woods, Kingston and Big E make history
Tuesday 13 December 2016 09:59, UK
The New Day will become the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history after coming through two gruelling Triple Threat Matches on Monday Night Raw.
Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Cesaro and Sheamus and Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in the evening's opening bout - Kingston pinning Irish Superstar Sheamus after administering Trouble in Paradise.
But The New Day overly celebrated the prospect of trumping Demolition's 478-day reign and spilled champagne over Stephanie McMahon, leading to the Raw Commissioner placing them in another title match.
Woods and Big E were forced to compete against Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in the night's main event - and pinched victory in that encounter, too.
Rollins shoved Owens into Jericho as the Canadian challengers seemed set to secure a pinfall victory and then planted Y2J, the man he will face at Roadblock: End of the Line on Sunday, with a Pedigree.

The New Day pounced at that point, though - Big E yanking Rollins out of the ring, allowing Woods to cover Jericho for the three-count that secured the group's place in history.
Woods, Big E and Kingston will have passed Demolition's title record - which has stood since 1989 - by the time Sunday's Raw Roadblock pay-per-view takes place, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
But the bromance between Jericho and Owens appears over, after the former walked out on the latter at the end of Raw and left the Universal Champion ripe for a spear by Roman Reigns.
Jericho's next task will be to beat Rollins in Pittsburgh this weekend, on the same night his ex-buddy Owens defends the Universal Title against United States Champion Reigns.
Elsewhere on Raw, The Brian Kendrick downed TJ Perkins with Sliced Bread #2, six nights before both men challenge Rich Swann for the Cruiserweight Championship, while Bayley bested Alicia Fox.
England's Jack Gallagher jumped Ariya Daivari, the Mancunian gaining revenge for an attack on last week's WWE 205 Live but ensuring Daivari beat Lince Dorado by disqualification.
Plus, Mick Foley's attempts to fire up Sami Zayn worked, with the Raw General Manager rewarding The Underdog from the Underground with a bout against Braun Strowman at Roadblock.
Foley had told Zayn, who conquered Jinder Mahal on Monday night, he was considering trading him for Smackdown's women's star Eva Marie, promoting the irate Canadian to put his hands on his boss.
The Hardcore Legend then revealed the threat of a swap was just a way to impassion Zayn, who will now meet Raw monster Strowman on Sunday night in a match with a 10-minute time limit.
Finally, Big Cass gained a modicum of retribution for Rusev's attack on his pal Enzo Amore last week by landing a few blows on the Bulgarian Brute.
The erstwhile NXT standout will get the chance to land a few more when he goes one-on-one with the former United States Champion at Roadblock.
