Could Tony Bellew turn to wrestling after his boxing career is finished?

Tony Bellew teased wrestling fans when he appeared as a "special bell ringer" for a match at a WWE live event at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Sunday night.

The reigning WBC cruiserweight champion and self-confessed WWE fan told Sky Sports News HQ he would be interested in appearing at a show in the future when he retires from professional boxing.

Tony Bellew hints WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker could be his next opponent

Bellew, who is currently recovering from a broken hand sustained during his victory over David Haye in their heavyweight domestic grudge match in March, singled out 14-time WWE world heavyweight champion Triple H as the man he would like to face.

"Tony would like to slap Triple H's backside," Bellew told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I like the sound of that, or doing a 'Stone Cold' stunner on Triple H, he was a phenomenal wrestler in his day, so I wouldn't mind a little go at that."

Live WWE Late Night Smackdown

Sky Sports News HQ, as well as Sky Sports online and social media accounts, will be live at London's O2 in the build-up to RAW and Smackdown.

RAW will be broadcast for the first time at 1am on Tuesday morning on Sky Sports 5HD, Smackdown will be at the same time on Wednesday morning, also on Sky Sports 5HD.
