The Shield reunite on Monday Night Raw
Tuesday 10 October 2017 11:41, UK
It's been over two years since we last saw The Shield standing as one. But the faction returned in a big way on Monday Night Raw.
They first interrupted Miz TV to exact revenge on The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and Curtis Axel.
The Brothers in Arms circled the ring before laying out the four Superstars, hitting The Miz with their signature Triple Powerbomb and bumping fists over his prone body. But they weren't finished there.
Moments after defeating Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman was the next target. The Monster Among Men received a beat-down that ended with a Triple Powerbomb through a table.
The Shield's actions resulted in two big matches. First, Reigns and Strowman will go one-on-one inside a steel cage on WWE Raw next week, before The Shield take on The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and Strowman in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at WWE TLC.
An explosive edition of WWE Raw live on Sky Sports on Monday night saw a new WWE Cruiserweight Champion crowned and a huge Tables, Ladders and Chairs match made for WWE TLC, live on Sky Sports Box Office on October 22.
Kalisto is the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. The high-flying Lucha defeated Enzo Amore in the main event on WWE Raw to win the title, as the Certified G paid the ultimate price for bad-mouthing Raw GM Kurt Angle.
After Smacktalker Skywalker had criticised Angle's decision to give Kalisto a title shot at WWE TLC, the Raw GM announced Kalisto would not have to wait until TLC for the opportunity, and waived Enzo's no-contact clause on the other Cruiserweights for the evening, to make it a Lumberjack match.
An assist from Mustafa Ali helped Kalisto survive Amore's signature Jordanzo, before Muscles Marinara's reign as champ was ended with Kalisto's signature Salida Del Sol from the top rope.
Mickie James gained the early momentum ahead of her title opportunity at WWE TLC.
After Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss branded the six-time women's champion as over-the-hill, James criticised Little Miss Bliss for refusing to trash talk face-to-face.
Her words goaded the champ to ringside, before James sent her scurrying with an attempted Mick Kick.
Once again, Bray Wyatt addressed Finn Balor. And once again he was not alone.
With the leader of the Balor Club standing in the ring, Wyatt appeared on the screen, seemingly transforming into Sister Abigail, who promised to punish the Irishman and his Demon persona.
Finn remained unnerved in the ring but, as The Reaper of Souls returned to his familiar form and cackled, you can't help but wonder what Balor is up against.
Emma earned the opportunity to face Asuka at WWE TLC after bettering Bayley, Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox in a Fatal 5 Way match.
The Australian Superstar rolled up Banks to book a date with The Empress of Tomorrow.
