Seth Rollins was only supposed to sign a contract but left Brock Lesnar and John Cena battered in the ring in a chaotic Monday Night Raw.

With less than a fortnight to their triple-threat match for the WWE Heavyweight title at the Royal Rumble, a contract signing was arranged to make the bout official – but things turned ugly.

Rollins got the better of the tear-up, leaving Lesnar and Cena behind with Curb Stomps. It was Rollins’ second statement of a dramatic evening…

Earlier, John Cena was presented with a method of reinstating Ryback, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler who were fired by the Authority last week. Stephanie McMahon insisted the trio could return if Cena beat the Authority-backed Rollins in a Lumberjack match.

It was too tall a task for Cena. Faced with a group of Superstars outside the ring who clearly didn’t want to be on the wrong end of the Authority, Cena was beaten up before being thrown back to the awaiting Rollins who duly pinned him.
