Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was ejected just two minutes into his team's clash with the Houston Rockets after reacting petulantly to a foul call.
The 7ft 1in Frenchman, the NBA's reigning defensive player of the year, had no one but himself to blame for his early exit.
After Gobert committed his second foul just 2:47 into the first quarter, Jazz coach Quinn Snyder had no choice but to sub 'The Stifle Tower' out of the game.
A frustrated Gobert left the court, taking out his frustration by slapping a water bottle stationed on the scorers' table onto the court.
The officials did not take kindly to his petulance, ensuring the 'The French Rejection' became 'The French Ejection' as they kicked Gobert out of the game.
Gobert's early exit left his team-mates at a disadvantage but they reacted well. Derrick Favors scored 24 points and Joe Ingles added 18 more as the Jazz cruised to a comfortable 118-91 win.
