Yorkshire Jets secured a third-place finish in the Superleague after a thrilling 54-50 win over Hertfordshire Mavericks.

Kadeen Corbin edged the Mavericks into a 39-38 lead at the end of the third quarter, but Timmy Cato snatched victory for the Jets, who travel to second-placed Surrey Storm for next Saturday's semi-final.

Samantha May’s player-of-the-match performance was in vain and the fourth-placed Mavericks must face a daunting semi-final trip to Manchester Thunder next weekend.

Yorkshire’s head coach Anna Carter heaped praise on her players after they pulled clear of Hertfordshire in the table.
