Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry is leaving Alabama to enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

The running back, who scored three touchdowns in the Crimson Tide's National Championship victory on Monday over Clemson, made his decision public on Thursday night.

He is likely to be one of the biggest offensive names in this year's draft, which also includes Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott, a possible difference maker in his rookie season.

Henry ran for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns overall last season, and was given the Heisman Trophy - the award for college football's best player - in December, when he saw off competition from Stanford's Christian McCaffery and Clemson's DeShaun Watson.

Henry might not be the only Crimson Tide player leaving college early. Standout defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson, defensive end Jonathan Allen and tight end OJ Howard are also contemplating leaving.

Better news for Alabama is that defensive back Eddie Jackson and defensive lineman Tim Williams have said they will stay for their senior year in Tuscaloosa.
