What's the latest?

Washington have put kicker Dustin Hopkins on injured reserve with a strained hip muscle and have signed free agent Nick Rose - who will now make his debut on Monday night - to replace him. Rose has been with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers but did not make a regular-season roster with either.

The Redskins have won five of the past six meetings between these two teams, though the Eagles come into this contest having scored 20+ points in 10 consecutive games - the longest active streak in the NFL - and they have the chance to move to a league-best record of 6-1 with a fifth straight victory.

Key battle

Can the Redskins defence contain sophomore quarterback sensation Carson Wentz? Wentz has seven touchdowns and a 121.9 passer rating in his past two games. He is tied for the NFC lead with 13 passing touchdowns and ranks second in the conference with 1,584 passing yards... plus, he faces a Washington defence still without star cornerback Josh Norman, and with Bashaud Breeland also questionable.

Game-changer

Chris Thompson. The Redskins running back has been a revelation of late - he had four catches for 105 yards in the Week Six win over San Francisco, and has recorded at least 100 receiving yards in two of the past three games.

He is the only player in the NFL this season with at least 150 rushing yards (175) and 300 receiving yards (340).
