Tom Brady throws his 400th career touchdown for the New England Patriots, becoming only the fourth player in history to reach the mark.

Tom Brady threw his 400th career touchdown pass as the New England Patriots stormed to a 51-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brady becomes the fourth NFL quarterback to reach the landmark, joining Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Dan Marino in a select club.

His 400th score was a simple one-yarder to Danny Amendola, with Brady later making it 401 when he linked up with Keshawn Martin from 13 yards in the third quarter.

Rob Gronkowski caught four Brady passes for 101 yards but was held out of the endzone as the Patriots made full use of running back LeGarrette Blount for the first time this season.

Blount missed the first game of 2015 through suspension and was barely used in their week two win, but he scored on three one-yard runs, while Dion Lewis added a touchdown on the ground as the Patriots (3-0) eased to victory.

Blake Bortles threw for two touchdowns for the Jaguars, one each to Allen Hurns and Clay Harbor, but the 51 points allowed broke a franchise record as they slipped to 1-2.

Kicker Stephen Gostkowski was also in record breaking form for the Patriots, kicking extra points on all six of their touchdowns to extend his streak to 425 without a miss.

"That takes a lot of games, a lot of snaps to do that. That's certainly a tribute to both of them, the durability, longevity, consistent production they've had," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said.

"They had a good day, as they've had in many, many days throughout their career. I feel really fortunate to have those guys on my team."
