Marcus Mariota out of Tennessee Titans trip to Houston Texans

Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt has confirmed Marcus Mariota will miss his second straight game with a knee injury.
The 22-year-old Texans quarterback wore a knee brace when he returned to practice on Wednesday after spraining the Medial Collateral Ligament in his left knee and will not be risked against Houston Texans on Sunday.
"Marcus Mariota made a lot of progress this week, but we aren't going to play him Sunday," Whisenhunt said.
Mariota suffered the injury on a late hit by Miami Dolphins defensive end Olivier Vernon in the Week six loss and the Titans will again pin their hopes on replacement Zach Mettenberger.
In last Sunday's 10-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Mettenberger completed 22 of 35 passes for 187 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.
Meanwhile, Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Wake, who recorded his seventh sack of the season in Thursday night's 36-7 loss to the New England Patriots, was injured on a third-down play late in the third quarter.
San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde is another absentee this weekend as a stress fracture in his right foot means he cannot line-up against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
