Peyton Manning to miss Denver Broncos' date with New England Patriots

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will be absent again this week as he seeks a second opinion on a troublesome foot problem.
Manning also has a rib injury but Broncos coach Gary Kubiak told reporters that he was seeking a second opinion for the painful case of plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the 39-year-old was in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a consultation with renowned orthopaedic foot specialist Dr Robert Anderson.
"Peyton is frustrated by the fact that he's injured," Kubiak said of the 14-time Pro Bowler and five-time NFL MVP, who has been struggling through a sub-par season.
The 39-year-old Manning has thrown for just nine touchdowns in nine games to go along with a league-high 17 interceptions.
"He is doing everything he can possibly do to get himself healthy," Kubiak added.
Manning's absence will mean a second Broncos start for Brock Osweiler, who made an impressive debut against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Osweiler threw a pair of touchdown passes in their 17-15 win at Soldier Field, a victory that came on his 25th birthday, and Kubiak was pleased with his performance.
"It was encouraging for a first start in this league," Kubiak said. "He's got to feel good about the first step."
Osweiler's second start promises to be much tougher, with the Broncos hosting the New England Patriots, a team boasting a perfect 9-0 record heading into their Week 11 Monday Night Football date with the Buffalo Bills.
Watch the Broncos take on the Patriots in the early hours of Monday November 30 - coverage starts on Sky Sports 2 HD at 12.30am.
