Today we go back to January 1983 when Washington Redskins won the Super Bowl for the first time by defeating Miami Dolphins.

As part of our countdown to Super Bowl 50, we head back to 1983 when the Washington Redskins lifted the trophy for the first time.

At Super Bowl XVII, the Redskins were pitted against the Miami Dolphins, who had denied Washington the title 10 years earlier.
