Peyton Manning to start for Denver Broncos after first-round bye

Denver Broncos have confirmed Peyton Manning will start at quarterback in their Divisional Round game on January 17.
Manning returned from a foot injury in the third quarter of their final regular season game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, replacing an ineffective Brock Osweiler.
The veteran quickly inspired Denver to an 80-yard touchdown drive and they went on to score 20 points with him under centre as they claimed a 27-20 win and secured top seed in the AFC.
That gave Manning an extra week to get closer to 100 per cent fit, and head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed at his Thursday press conference the 39-year-old would take over from Osweiler when they return to the field.
The Broncos will find out their first play-off opponent this weekend - they will host the lowest seed to make it through wildcard weekend and could meet the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs or Pittsburgh Steelers.
