Oakland Raiders agree one-year extension to play at O.co Coliseum

The Oakland Raiders will stay in Oakland for another season after agreeing a one-year extension to remain in their O.co Coliseum stadium.
Four weeks after attempts to move to Los Angeles were halted the by the NFL's other owners, the Raiders confirmed on Thursday that they had agreed to a one-year extension to remain at the Coliseum, where they have played since 1995.
Raiders owner Mark Davis had been considering several options since January's decision to approve the St Louis Rams' move to LA, an announcement which also saw the San Diego Chargers given an option to join the Rams.
The Raiders agreement with the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority, which still needs approval of the Oakland City Council and Alameda County Board of Supervisors, guarantees that the Raiders will play the 2016 season at the venue and the deal also carries two one-year team options.
