The NFL could play regular season games in China and Germany in the next two years, according to NFL.com.

The International Series is set to be extended beyond London and arrive in Germany during 2017 and China in 2018, Fox Sports first reported.

The NFL initially planned a game in China in 2007 which was rescheduled for two years later but ultimately never happened.

London is also set to benefit from the International Series' expansion, with Twickenham joining Wembley Stadium as an NFL host in 2016. In addition, Jacksonville Jaguars' owner Shad Khan recently extended his franchise's commitment to London for five years which could extend to 2025.
