For the second successive year, the Jacksonville Jaguars will announce an NFL Draft selection live from London.

This year's edition of one of the NFL's showpiece events will take place in Chicago for the second year in a row, and will once again see the 32 teams take their pick of the latest class of college football stars.

London became the first city out of the USA to participate in the Draft last year, when the team's fourth and seventh round picks were revealed by Jaguars fan George Bradford in the British capital.

And this year, it will all happen again, with one UK-based fan announcing the franchise's fifth-round selection live from London, with the event being broadcast worldwide.

The fan will reveal the choice alongside defensive tackle Michael Bennett, whose drafting was one of those announced from London in 2015.

Jacksonville will return to London for the fourth-straight year next season, taking on AFC South rivals the Indianapolis Colts on October 2, and will play in the city on an annual basis until at least 2020.

"We were delighted to be able to make history last year by taking a Draft announcement to London," said Jags president Mark Lamping.

The NFL Draft attracts tens of millions of viewers on an annual basis, and is one of the most celebrated occasions in the American sporting calendar, as 256 of the nation's best college players chosen by the 32 NFL teams across three days and seven rounds.

The picks in the first three rounds are announced by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell live at the venue, while picks in the later around are revealed by the teams themselves from their home bases.

Jacksonville will be the only franchise with two bases - one at their EverBank Field stadium, and one in London.
