British-born defensive end Jack Crawford will remain with the Dallas Cowboys after re-signing with the NFL franchise.
The 27-year-old, who - like Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi - was born in London, had been a free agent after a campaign where he had accrued four sacks in 16 appearances as part of the Cowboys' defensive-line rotation.
Despite visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets during the free-agency period, Crawford had made no secret of his desire to stay with the NFC East team and he got his wish on Monday when coming to terms on a one-year deal.
The ex-Oakland Raider uploaded a picture to Instagram of him signing a deal with the caption: "So thankful to have the opportunity to play with my Fam under the blue star for another year. #CowboyNation this one is for you! #BackAtItAgain #WasNeverGoinAnywhere"
Crawford grew up near Wembley in Kilburn and recorded a sack in the capital when the Cowboys defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014.
