Joey Bosa's holdout is over after the first round NFL Draft pick finally signed a four-year deal with the San Diego Chargers.

The defensive lineman was selected with the third pick of the 2016 Draft but had opted not to sign his rookie contract over a disagreement about the amount of guaranteed money in his signing bonus.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Bosa's deal is worth $25.8m, with a fully-guaranteed $17m signing bonus.

Bosa's lengthy holdout could mean him being eased into the Chargers line-up early in the regular season as he has missed almost the entirety of their training camp.

San Diego have only one more pre-season fixture remaining and he is unlikely to be in game shape to figure against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.

"We look forward to having Joey join us and getting him prepared as quickly as possible for the 2016 season," said Chargers general manager Tom Telesco.
