Luke Kuechly to miss third straight Carolina Panthers game with concussion

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly will continue to sit out when his team takes on the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
Kuechly has missed Carolina's last two games with concussion but had returned to practice this week, in a limited capacity, and was expected to feature in their week 14 game.
But the 25-year-old, one of the NFL's best players at his position, failed to clear the league's final concussion protocol on Saturday when he visited an independent neurologist.
With Kuechly sidelined, the Panthers (4-8) have lost their last two games and prop up the bottom of the NFC South - they were thrashed 40-7 by the Seahawks in Seattle last Sunday.
But they will have two other defensive players available against the Chargers, with safety Kurt Coleman and cornerback Daryl Worley both passing the concussion protocol.
