Injury to Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tanehill not as bad as first feared

Ryan Tannehill's left knee injury is not as serious as first feared and no surgery is expected, but it remains uncertain whether he will play again this season.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback's injury was diagnosed as a sprained anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial collateral ligament (MCL), coach Adam Gase said Monday.
"This is not going to be one game," Gase told ESPN. "It's going to be longer than that."
When Tannehill was hurt on Sunday against Arizona, the Dolphins (8-5) feared he had torn his ACL, which would have meant surgery and a long rehabilitation for a player who hasn't missed a start for nearly five years.
Despite the upbeat injury report, Matt Moore is expected to make his first start since 2011 on Saturday against the New York Jets.
Tannehill limped out of Sunday's win in the third quarter after being hit by defensive tackle Calais Campbell as he released a completion.
Miami led 21-9 when Tannehill was hurt and won 26-23 on a last-second field goal.
