Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor faces a rushed build-up to the regular season after sustaining a concussion against Baltimore.
Taylor was expected to play an extended role against the Ravens in week three of preseason, but instead had to leave the game at the end of their second possession.
He was sacked on a third-and-seven play at the Bills' 22-yard line and his head jerked back into the turf as he went to ground.
Taylor stayed on the ground for around 10 seconds before getting to his feet, but he was visibly shaken and Buffalo's medical staff stopped him from trying to jog to the sideline.
He was taken to the locker room and placed in the league's concussion protocol for tests, which showed he had indeed been concussed.
Rookie Nathan Peterman came into the game and played the majority of snaps, completing 11 of his 23 pass attempts for only 93 yards.
Sixth-season quarterback TJ Yates completed the game, which ended in a 13-9 win for the Ravens.
The Bills were also without defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, who had been sent home earlier in the day for a violation of team rules.
