While the Atlanta Falcons were in Seattle defeating the Seahawks 34-31 in the NFL on Monday night, their former home, the Georgia Dome, was being demolished.

The 70,000-seater stadium was safely imploded just 25 years after opening to the public.

As well as NFL matches, the dome also hosted events at the 1996 Olympics, WWE Wrestlemania and NBA games.

The Falcons moved to a new £1billion stadium just yards away at the start of this season.
