Aaron Rodgers has revealed his disappointment at the Green Bay Packers removing quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt without speaking to him.

Van Pelt was one of a host of Packers coaches who were not retained by the franchise after a disappointing 7-9 season, one which Rodgers missed the majority of with a broken collarbone.

Rodgers told ESPN Radio's Golic and Wingo that his injury was fully healed, but based on his comments, his relationship with the Packers could take some work.

Van Pelt joined the Packers as running backs coach in 2012, and had been Rodgers' quarterback coach since 2014, with the pair having built a close bond.

"My quarterback coach didn't get retained," Rodgers said. "I thought that was an interesting change - really without consulting me.
