Philadelphia Eagles beat New England Patriots in a thrilling Super Bowl LII

Seventy-four points, a Super Bowl record 1,151 yards of offense and a first ever Super Bowl win for the Philadelphia Eagles - what a night in Minnesota.

After last year's classic in Houston that saw the Patriots record the biggest comeback in NFL history to claim a 34-28 overtime victory over Atlanta - Tom Brady and his team-mates were unable to repeat the feat against an inspired Eagles.

A thrilling game that featured one punt and nine touchdowns saw both teams march up and down the field with Nick Foles and Brady as both defenses folded under immense pressure from a pair of dominant offenses.

In a match full of trick plays, it was the only major defensive play of the game that proved decisive as Brandon Graham forced Brady into a sack-fumble - the only sack of the game - to set up a field goal for Jake Elliott.

There was still time for Brady to attempt one last play but for once the regular season MVP could not deliver a miracle and the Eagles had their first NFL championship since 1960.
