Vikings LB to miss rest of season

Minnesota Vikings linebacker EJ Henderson will miss the rest of the season after breaking his left leg in Sunday's 30-17 defeat at the Arizona Cardinals. Henderson remained in Phoenix overnight to undergo surgery on his fractured femur, Vikings head coach Brad Childress revealed. The 29-year-old sustained the injury late in the fourth quarter while trying to tackle Cardinals running back Tim Hightower. His leg twisted violently as he went down and, after receiving several minutes of treatment, he was taken off the field on a motorised cart. "I feel bad for EJ," said Vikings quarterback Brett Favre. "That's awful for him and for our team." Minnesota currently sit top of the NFC North with a 10-2 record.
