Tennessee pick up mercurial receiver off waivers
Star wide receiver Randy Moss has been claimed off the waiver wire by the Tennessee Titans after being released by the Minnesota Vikings.
Moss left the Vikings just weeks after being traded there from the New England Patriots and has rarely showcased his playmaking skills so far this season.
The 33-year-old hit the waiver wire after being cut, with the Buffalo Bills - who currently have the worst record in the NFL - having first choice should they have wanted to claim him.
But the Bills and several other teams decided to pass on the temperamental wideout, with Tennessee managing to claim him despite being 22nd in line.
The Titans - reportedly the only team to put in a claim - have a record of 5-3 this season and are hoping to boost their play-off push with the acquisition.
Tennessee have bolstered their depth at receiver at a timely interval after Kenny Britt suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's defeat to the San Diego Chargers.
