Houston Texans star Arian Foster suffers injury blow

Houston Texans’ star running back Arian Foster could miss a minimum of eight weeks of the new season after suffering a serious groin injury in training.
Foster suffered the injury in training on Monday, and although the Texans have not confirmed the extent of the problem, reports in the US suggest he is headed for the short-term injured reserve – which means a minimum of eight weeks out.
The news, if true, would be a serious blow to the Texans, whose offensive options were already among the weakest in the NFL.
Free-agent Pierre Thomas visited the Texans on Tuesday as they line him up as a potential replacement.
