Washington Redskins Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams has agreed to a five-year, $66m contract extension with the team.
The deal makes Williams the highest-paid offensive tackle in NFL history.
Williams will receive $43.25m in guarantees and $32m at signing, and will average $13.2m per year.
"It feels great to know that I'll be ready to go for another five seasons," Williams said. "It's a dream come true.
"I wasn't worried about it at all. My agent, Vincent Taylor, he was working night and day to get it done with Eric Schaffer and Bruce Allen and Dan [Snyder], Scot [McCloughan]. All them played a part to get this thing done. I was extremely happy."
Williams just completed his fourth season as an offensive captain for the Redskins and has been among the league's top left tackles since he was selected fourth overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.
The 27-year-old battled through multiple injuries to play in and start 15 games in 2014.
