Laura Woods and Neil Reynolds look back at the week 8 action and also preview week 9 of the NFL

Laura Woods caught up with Sky Sports NFL expert Neil Reynolds to reflect on the biggest surprises and disappointments of the 2016 season so far.

Reynolds highlighted the Atlanta Falcons as a positive story line of the season so far. Despite losing two close games in consecutive weeks, Matt Ryan's franchise is still one to watch going forward.

"The Falcons have been one of the great stories of the season", Reynolds said.

"They had a little slide, but seem to have righted the ship with a good win against Green Bay. On a more negative note, when you look at what Arizona have done, or not done, compared to last year when they made the NFC Championship game.

"Carolina have also struggled but they stuck it to the Cardinals last week, so the problem gets worse for the Cardinals."

Following the end of the NFL's International Series at Wembley, Laura and Neil reflected on an entertaining final game, a 27-27 tie between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Redskins.

"It was that kind of game where there was always 'something' - missed extra points and fields, turnovers - but from a fan's point of view, there was always something to see."
