The Oakland Raiders have given the Atlanta Falcons two draft picks in exchange for DeAngelo Hall.

Cornerback gets his wish to leave Atlanta

The Oakland Raiders have finalised a deal with the Atlanta Falcons for DeAngelo Hall. The Falcons will receive a second round pick in this year's draft and a fifth-round selection in 2009 in exchange for the services of the two-time Pro Bowl cornerback. Hall has signed a seven-year contract with the Raiders that is worth between $67-70m, making him the highest paid cornerback in NFL history. The San Francisco Chronicle report that $24.5m is guaranteed. The 24-year-old had made very clear his desire to leave Atlanta - the franchise that drafted him with the eighth overall pick of the 2004 draft - following a difficult season in which he clashed with former coach Bobby Petrino and drew the ire of management for being an outspoken supporter of imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick.

Dolphins sign Perry, Steelers cut Wilson

The Miami Dolphins have agreed a one-year contract with free agent wide receiver Tab Perry. Perry, who joins from the Cincinnati Bengals, has played just four games in the last two seasons due to a hip injury. Financial terms were not disclosed. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers have terminated Cedrick Wilson's contract, less than 24 hours after the wide receiver was arrested on assault charges. Wilson, 29, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after allegedly hitting his former girlfriend Lindsey Paulat on Wednesday night. "We determined the situation was severe enough to warrant the player being released immediately," Steelers chairman Dan Rooney said in a statement. "We trust that today's roster move will indicate our intentions and send a message that we will not tolerate this type of conduct."
