Stars from around the NFL have told skysports.com their expert predictions for Super Bowl XLIII.

The experts have their say on who will come out on top in Super Bowl XLIII

skysports.com has been in Tampa all week and to help you decide who is going to win Sunday's Super Bowl, we've gathered some expert opinion from the NFL's finest. Stars have been in and around Tampa soaking up the atmosphere, and here's what they told skysports.com about the likely outcome of the Super Bowl. Some went for Pittsburgh, some went for Arizona, and some don't really care too much as they're not playing! Here's what they told us... Likeable Jets centre Nick Mangold does not like watching the big game, as he's not involved... "I really haven't been paying attention to it too much, I'd like to be in the game and if I'm not in the game I'm going to be staying away from it so I don't really know. "I haven't got any predictions but I am pulling for Santonio Holmes, I played with him at Ohio State and I'm hoping for a big game for him. So I don't have a prediction but I'd love to see him do well." Washington's Clinton Portis is much more certain, and he gave the most decisive answer of the week... "I really think Arizona can do it, they've been really explosive this post season. I think the Pittsburgh defence is excellent and they'll bring a lot of pressure but Kurt Warner and Fitzgerald have been able to execute and beat that blitz, and run those hot routes. "I really think they'll handle the defence and I really think the can win by more than ten."

Close call

Wide receiver Andre Johnson agrees that the Cardinals will win, but thinks it will be a lot closer... "I think Arizona's a real hot team right now, and I have a lot of former team-mates on that team so I would like to see a lot of those guys get a ring. "Pittsburgh is really tough on the defensive side of the ball but for some reason I really think Arizona is going to edge it out, I think it'll be a really close game so I'd say 20-17 or something around there, but it'll be a really tough game." Dalls Cowboys tight end Jason Witten sys he is always one to root for the underdog in the big games... "The one thing you've got to say about Arizona is that they are the hot team coming here, and they've got that fantastic offence under Kurt Warner. "But Pittsburgh are so organised and that defence is unbelievably good, so it's going to be a tough day for the Cardinals. "But I always like to back the underdogs so I'm going to be pulling for the Cardinals to edge it. It's there first time there though, and the Steelers have been to the party before." Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has been slamming through defences all season, what does he think? "In the game their best defence was their offence, although their defence is good they put a lot of pressure on you by putting a lot of points on you. "If Pittsburgh can match their intensity on offence I think it'll be a really good game but if they can't then I think Arizona wins this one hands down."
Defence the key
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan thinks that defence will be the key come Sunday... "I think Pittsburgh will win, their defence is playing really well right now and their offence is making plays when they have to, it'll be a great game as both side are hot but I've got to go with Pittsburgh." Houston's Steve Slaton had a baptism of fire in the NFL, and that guides his selection... "My first NFL game was against Pittsburgh so I know how tough their defence is. I know Arizona have great offence but I think the defence is going to win this one for Pittsburgh." Rookie of the year, quarterback Joe Flacco, has a different approach to calling the game... "I saw Warren Sapp pick the Steelers because he wanted the Cardinals to win and I think I'm going to do the same thing. I'm think I'm going to pick the Steelers, but I'll be routing for the Cardinals."
