Houston tight end to undergo ACL surgery

Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Daniels, 26, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the first quarter of the Texans' 31-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills on November 1. Houston head coach Gary Kubiak has confirmed Daniels requires an operation and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve. "It's a big blow to our football team," Kubiak said. "I just feel bad for him. He was having a tremendous season, a special football season, and we're going to miss him big-time." Daniels had 40 receptions for 519 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns before being injured.
