Rams quarterback facing upto six weeks out
St Louis quarterback Marc Bulger is facing upto six weeks on the sidelines after he suffered a broken leg in the defeat to Arizona.
Bulger underwent a number of MRI scans following the match - with doctors looking at his groin, hamstring and knee, plus possible concussion.
And the comprehensive examinations have revealed that Bulger has suffered a break in his left leg.
"Marc Bulger's pretty banged up," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said. "Marc's got a few things going on."
With Bulger ruled out Spagnuolo will turn to back-up quarterback Kyle Boller to fill in.
Boller has yet to taste victory in his three appearances for the Rams, with him replacing Bolger in the 36-17 defeat to the Packers, then starting the 35-0 loss to the 49ers and 38-10 reverse to the Vikings.
In those matches, Boller completed 57 per cent of his passes, with three interceptions and two touchdowns.
